Practice

Jonathan Kropp is a member of the Firm’s insurance and litigation team, where he represents insurers both as coverage and monitoring counsel. Before joining the Benson Firm, Jonathan clerked for the Honorable Chief Judge L. Scott Coogler in the Northern District of Alabama, where he composed hundreds of opinions and orders resolving diverse legal disputes. In private practice, Jonathan led the defense of insurers and their insureds against a multitude of claimants, cementing the foundation of practical litigation experience that informs his current practice. 

While in law school, Jonathan represented businesses and entrepreneurs in his school's clinical program, served on the mock trial competition team, and interned at the Federal Trade Commission's Bureau of Competition. Before law school, he served in the United States Marine Corps as a Combat Marksmanship Instructor and an Engineer Equipment and Electronic Systems Technician.

Jonathan is admitted to practice in the state of Texas and before the U.S. District Courts for the Northern, Eastern, Southern, and Western Districts of Texas.
