Complex Commercial Disputes
Katherine is a member of the Firm’s insurance practice. Before focusing on insurance, Katherine represented clients in complex commercial and securities lawsuits, including allegations of state and federal securities violations, breach of fiduciary duties, misrepresentation, and breach of contact. She is also experienced in intellectual property matters and has represented companies in trademark, copyright and domain name disputes.
Prior to becoming a lawyer, Katherine earned graduate degrees focusing on the incompatibility between general relativity and quantum mechanics. As a graduate student, Katherine taught courses in physics, logic, and probability and statistics. Katherine brings her extensive knowledge and experience in technical and intellectual property claims to her advice and counsel to insurers with regard to defense, strategy, and coverage issues.
Admissions and Affiliations
Katherine is admitted to practice in the State of Oregon and before the U.S. District Courts for the Eastern and Western Districts of Washington, the District Court of Oregon, and the Ninth Circuit. She is a member of the Mother Attorney Mentoring Association.
