Complex Commercial Disputes
Katherine is a member of the Firm’s insurance practice, representing insurers advising on coverage in connection with first and third party claims, including regulatory proceedings. Katherine has expertise in privacy and intellectual property claims. Katherine also handles first party incidents, including business interruption, and analyzing invoices and proof of loss statements.
Before focusing on insurance, Katherine represented clients in intellectual property, complex commercial, and securities lawsuits. Katherine earned graduate degrees in logic and physics, focusing on the incompatibility between general relativity and quantum mechanics. As a graduate student, Katherine taught courses in logic, probability and statistics, and physics.
Admissions and Affiliations
Katherine is admitted to practice in the State of Texas and before the U.S. District Courts for the Eastern and Western Districts of Washington, the District Court of Oregon, and the Ninth Circuit. She is a member of the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP) and the Mother Attorney Mentoring Association.
